A big thank you to Ms. Correa our Spanish teacher and mentor, who kicked off the first ISL Cultural Heritage Club! The turn out was positive and students were enthusiastic and keen to learn and taste the food!

From our news reporter Robin:

After we finished school at 2:30pm, we got the chance to see our fellow Latin-American classmates show the school their culture through local food, activities, and an instructive presentation on Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican celebration commemorating the victory of Mexican forces in the battle of Puebla in 1862.
The event was rounded off by a fun Kahoot on Cinco de Mayo after we got to eat a lot of Latin American sweets and a delicious Guacamole!
We are now certainly looking forward to the next Cultural Heritage Days!
