Shakespeare baffles the mind of many a linguist and yet the Grade 9 English group collaborated, through inquiry, as part of their test week preparation! In groups, students deconstructed the exam question and by combining forces, they identified various literary techniques and quotes from 3 well-known soliloquies from the play 'Macbeth'. Discussion included critical thinking, creative thinking, and analysis.
While analyzing text for English, the students tried to work their way out at the 'Macbeth Escape Room' during their Theatre lesson. We can definitely see how this inquirious learning motivates, challenges, and inspires our students in their learning and knowledge.
